I've been having my 11th grade classes do skits (i.e. role plays), which they don't ever do in the schools here. This makes it a novel, challenging, scary, yet fun activity for the students. I told them they could use visual aids for their advertisement role play, and one of the groups who presented a beer advertisement actually pulled out some Black Panther beer, poured a round, and drank it in front of the class as part of their skit. I looked over at my co-teacher, but he didn't blink an eye, so when they finished and the applause was over I just said "All right....next group."
